There is a lot to share with you in this newsletter so take a minute to scroll through. But first...
Throughout the Season of Lent St. Ann Parish will offer opportunities for prayer, fasting, and almsgiving to help you to grow deeper in your faith and closer to Jesus. For more articles, videos, and tips for an amazing Lent visit our Facebook page.
"The Stations of the Cross provide us with great material for prayer and meditation. Tracing Jesus’s journey from condemnation to crucifixion increases both our sorrow for our sins and our desire for His help in avoiding temptations and in bearing our own crosses. Meditating on Christ’s passion can help us become more like Him in imitating His virtues of obedience, humility, charity, patience and perseverance." (From The Stations of the Cross)
Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence.
For members of the Catholic Church, the norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59. When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal. The norms concerning abstinence from meat are binding upon members of the Catholic Church from age 14 onwards.
Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 9am
Every Saturday: 3:15 - 3:50 pm
Weekdays and Sundays: 15 minutes prior to every Mass.
"In the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation, also called confession, we meet the Lord, who wants to grant forgiveness and the grace to live a renewed life in him. In this sacrament, he prepares us to receive him free from serious sin, with a lively faith, earnest hope, and sacrificial love in the Eucharist. The Church sees confession as so important that she requires that every Catholic go at least once a year. The Church also encourages frequent confession in order to grow closer to Christ Jesus and his Body, the Church. (From God's Gift of Forgiveness)

In the Eucharist Jesus holds absolutely nothing back from us. He gives us his entire self. If we, in the Eucharist, return the favor and give him our entire selves, we will never be the same." (Read more of how Jesus transforms us in the article: "Why Go to Mass?")
MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY: 8:30AM - 9AM
Day and night Jesus dwells in the Blessed Sacrament because of His Infinite love for us! The more time you spend with Jesus, the more you will come away feeling renewed and healed. Miracles of conversion, peace, discovery of vocations, answers to prayers, physical healings, and many other wonderful things happen where and when the Lord Jesus is adored in the Blessed Sacrament. They are the "gifts" that point to the Almighty Giver and testify to His Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament..." (From Jesus waits for us in this Sacrament of Love)
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be on MONDAY - FRIDAY 8:30AM - 9AM. Stop by anytime!
